Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah reiterated on Thursday he will not resign as he again denied any wrongdoing in the allotment of 14 sites to his wife by the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA). Terming the charges against him a "BJP conspiracy", Siddaramaiah said he would wage a legal fight.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said on Thursday that he would not be resigning from his post amid the MUDA scam allegations levied on him by BJP leaders.

Mangaluru Mangaluru, Sep 25: Former Lokayukta Justice Santosh Hegde has expressed his opinion that chief minister Siddaramaiah should resign in light of the allegations of his involvement in the MUDA (Mangalore Urban Development Authority) scam.

Affirming that there was no question of Siddaramaiah resigning over the matter, Deputy CM DK Shivakumar dismissed the protest as mere political theatrics and accused BJP of attempting to stir a row.

Siddaramaiah's assertion came a day after a special Karnataka court ordered the Lokayukta to conduct a probe against him over alleged irregularities in the Muda case, paving the way to register an FIR against the Chief Minister.
