That means it could potentially come to more iPhones than Apple's own AI. It was initially only available for Pixel 9 owners and required a subscription, but it's now free and available to all.

iPhone owners can access Gemini via the Google app, but a dedicated, standalone app would streamline things significantly, giving iOS users a faster, more direct connection to Google’s advanced AI — without the extra steps.
