Sacramento coroner identifies 12-year-old boy shot, killed in Meadowview during deadly weekend
Santino Contreras was walking about 6 p.m. Saturday in the Meadowview neighborhood when he was shot at least once, according to the Sacramento Police Department. Officers were called to the 7600 block of 22nd Street near Meadowview Road. The boy was soon pronounced dead at the scene.

One of the victims of the deadly weekend of violence in Sacramento has been identified by the Sacramento County coroner as 12-year-old Santino Contreras.
