Philadelphia police fatally shot an armed man following a domestic disturbance that escalated into a gunfire exchange and vehicle pursuit through Southwest Philadelphia on Sunday evening, Nov. 10, authorities announced the following day.

Police shot at the man at two separate locations but did not know Sunday night whether he had been hit at both sites in West Philadelphia, including where he allegedly carjacked a pickup truck.

Police are still looking into exactly what happened but confirm officers opened fire and Spencer Majett was shot in the shoulder. Police say he was also armed but it's under investigation whether he exchanged fire.

Officers were called to the 5400 block of Chancellor Street for reports of a domestic disturbance Sunday night.
