A player quitting the team in the middle of an undefeated season is unprecedented, but multiple NIL agents shared accounts of similar financial promises not being kept behind the scenes in college basketball.

Mike Palm, the VP of Operations for Circa, the D, and Golden Gate Casinos in Downtown Las Vegas, offered $100,000 in NIL money to keep Sluka on the team after the quarterback quit this week in the wake of not receiving the $100,000 he said had been promised by a UNLV assistant coach.
