South Korea's impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol was arrested Sunday, just days after being apprehended at his home in Seoul. He faces possible imprisonment for declaring martial law last month.

South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol is expected to make his first appearance at his impeachment trial on Tuesday, with security ramped up following the Capitol Hill-like rioting during his appearance at another court at the weekend.

The Corruption Investigation Office for High-Ranking Officials and police are jointly investigating whether Yoon’s brief martial law declaration on Dec. 3 amounted to an attempted rebellion.
