Neighbor recalls Sacramento shooting that killed 12-year-old Santino Contreras
One of the victims of the deadly weekend of violence in Sacramento has been identified by the Sacramento County coroner as 12-year-old Santino Contreras. Sacramento police said that around 6 p.m. Saturday, Contreras was involved in some kind of altercation in the Meadowview neighborhood near 22nd Street and Babette Way.
"At the time, I didn't know it was a 12-year-old kid. And when we found out it was a 12-year-old boy, I was just, we're still heartbroken," said Debbie Stephens.
