Ever since Denzel Ward was drafted by his hometown Cleveland Browns in 2018, he’s had Myles Garrett by his side. So as the Browns prepare to enter an offseason of uncertainty after finishing 3-14, Ward doesn’t even want to think about what life post-Garrett could look like in Cleveland.

The Cleveland Browns have much to sort out, and their priority revolves around their perennial All-Pro pass rusher Myles Garrett. Garrett expressed his unhappiness with the state of the 2024 season in Cleveland and cast some doubt on his future with the team that drafted him with the first overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.

Denzel Ward improved as a Browns leader and would become the face of the defense if Myles Garrett were to leave. But Ward wants Garrett to stay.
