The Gotham also has a tie to one of Villeneuve’s early films, “Incendies” (2010), which the organization supported through the IFP Week Program.

The Gotham Awards are giving filmmaker Denis Villeneuve‘s Oscar campaign a shot in the arm. They have announced that he will receive their Director Tribute for his “remarkable worldbuilding and storytelling prowess” in crafting the blockbuster film “Dune: Part Two.
