A 1-year-old was found alone inside a smoke-filled home in Wisconsin after the toddler’s father died in a car crash, authorities said. Around 10:30 p.m. Jan. 4, police were called to a report of a car crash in Neenah, a Facebook post by the police department said. A vehicle hit a tree and was on fire, according to police.

First responders rescued a child from a smoke-filled apartment over the weekend, after the person who lived in that residence died in a fiery vehicle crash. Neenah police officers said a man crashed his vehicle into a tree at the intersection of Park and Bayview in Neenah on Saturday night.
