THE PREAKNESS STAKES. The Preakness Stakes, the middle jewel of racing’s Triple Crown, is held at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland, and has traditionally been held on the third Saturday in May, two weeks after the Kentucky Derby.
